Substance Highlights
Tetracaine
Local anesthetics such as lidocaine, procaine, and tetracaine can increase the severity of responses to illicit drugs and, at toxic levels, may trigger seizures. Tetracaine has a longer duration and is commonly detected with medetomidine.
Fentanyl Pre-Precursor and Precursor Chemicals
Compounds such as Tetramethyl-4-AP, Tetramethyl-4-Piperidinol, and 1-Phenethyl piperidine are used in fentanyl synthesis and may indicate incomplete or rough manufacturing processes.
Phenacetin
Phenacetin is a known carcinogen used as an adulterant and may be toxic to the kidneys, heart, blood, and urinary system.
