FUNDING STATUS: OPEN
ACCESS DELAWARE provides direct funding to partner groups, nonprofits and community-based organizations in Delaware that are actively pursuing mental health and crisis helpline awareness activities, events and educational or outreach initiatives for high-risk or minority populations, as well as crisis response training for community-based organizations servicing these same populations. This funding opportunity will be administered by DSAMH for a four-month implementation period from June 2025 through September 2025. There are two tracks available under this funding opportunity – review the solicitation for additional information on eligibility and requirements:
- ACCESS 988 (up to $4,999.99): open to partner groups, nonprofits and community-based organizations.
- Build internal capacity to engage individuals and communities at risk or experiencing mental health crises.
- Receive funding to promote established or additional mental health resources for high-risk or minority populations.
- ACCESS Mental Health (up to $4,999.99): open to community-based organizations providing mental health resource information and awareness training.
- Receive funding and technical support to increase community engagement and resource capital surrounding mental health education and crisis response.
- Build internal capacity for community engagement and resource information dissemination.
Due to the specific requirements for gaining MHFA certification, there are two tiers for application consideration for ACCESS Mental Health:
- Tier One: Pre-requisite – Awarded vendors have eligible individuals looking to become certified instructors for MHFA, QPR or ASIST.
- Tier Two: Training the Community – Awarded vendors have existing certified instructors for MHFA, QPR or ASIST looking to provide community training.
*Organizations must have demonstrated business operations for a minimum of one (1) year.
Applicants may apply for both tracks. Funding may not be used for direct treatment services, funding new staff or duplicating/overlapping initiatives currently funded by other means.
